Cookie and Local Storage Notice

Authentication and hosting services may use secure cookies or equivalent storage to keep you signed in and protect account access. Speak Bisaya also uses local storage or similar browser storage for settings such as selected language, billing currency, audio preferences, review state and acknowledgement of this notice. A service worker and browser cache may store application files and previously loaded media for reliability and offline resilience.

Some storage is necessary to provide a service you request, including authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, restoring a requested route, remembering essential app state and maintaining subscription/session functionality. Under UK/EU cookie rules, strictly necessary technologies generally do not require prior consent, although they still need to be explained.

We may store settings locally so you do not have to reselect them every visit. Some no-account learning features can keep limited review or progress state on your own device. Clearing browser storage can remove that local state.

With your permission, Speak Bisaya records limited product analytics and diagnostics through its application platform to understand whether pages load, features work and where users encounter technical problems. Optional observation-session and attribution identifiers may also be stored for this purpose. These events are designed not to contain lesson answers, microphone audio, private notes, passwords or full payment-card details.

Optional analytics are off unless you choose “Allow analytics”. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies, behavioural advertising trackers or cross-site profiling. If we later introduce a new non-essential technology that requires consent, it will not be activated until the required choice is provided.

Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on hosted checkout and billing pages for payment processing, authentication, fraud detection, security and regulatory compliance. Authentication or infrastructure providers may also use strictly necessary technologies when their services are invoked. Their own notices apply to technologies they control.

Where the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations or EU/EEA ePrivacy rules apply, we seek consent before placing or accessing non-essential cookies or similar identifiers when consent is legally required. Refusing optional technologies will not prevent access to functionality that does not depend on them.

US state privacy laws may provide rights relating to targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information. Speak Bisaya does not currently sell personal information or use cross-context behavioural advertising. In the Philippines, browser and device information is handled in accordance with the transparency, legitimate-purpose and proportionality principles described in our Privacy Policy.

You can change your optional analytics choice at any time below or on the dedicated Privacy Choices page. Withdrawing analytics consent takes effect for new optional tracking in this browser and clears Speak Bisaya's optional attribution and observation-session identifiers. Essential account, billing and learning storage is not removed by that choice.

You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through browser or device settings. Doing so may sign you out, remove saved preferences, erase local-only learning state or stop some features from working correctly.

We will update this notice if the technologies we use materially change. If a new technology requires consent, we will provide the required choice before using it for affected users.
